The Daughters of Jerusalem

We will run after you.

We will be glad and rejoice in you.

We will remember you love more than wine.

We will make you ornaments of gold
With studs of silver.

What is your belved
More than another beloved, O fairest among women? What is your beloved More than another beloved, That you so charge us?

Where has your beloved gone, O fairest among women? Where has your beloved turned aside, That we may seek him with you?

His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.
